Get drywall bids in Portland & beyond
Drywall is priced by the sheet and the finish. A contractor needs to know how much wall and ceiling there is, whether it is new work or repair, and what level of finish you want, because paint-ready and glass-smooth are different jobs. Post the rooms, the rough size, and a photo of what is there now, and license-verified drywall contractors bid the real work.
Who is on the board for drywall
license-verified drywall contractors on the board, based in Lake Oswego and Washougal. Every license checked against the Oregon CCB registry before their first bid. Names stay hidden until you pick a bid.

Drywall questions, answered
What is a finish level?
Drywall finish runs from level 0 (just hung) to level 5 (skim-coated smooth). Most painted rooms are level 4. Level 5 costs more and is worth it for glossy paint or a wall that gets raking light from a big window. Say which you want so bids compare like with like.
Can a drywall contractor match my existing texture?
Usually, if you tell them what it is and send a close-up photo. Orange peel and knockdown are routine; a hand texture from the sixties may take a test patch first. A bid that asks about texture before quoting is a good sign.
Does drywall need a permit?
Drywall on its own generally does not in Portland, but the work it covers, like new framing or wiring, may have needed one, and an inspector wants to see it before the walls close. A licensed contractor will ask what is behind the wall.
How does bidding work?
Post once with photos and a budget range, and up to five license-verified drywall contractors bid with a price, what is included, and when they can start. Your contact info stays private until you pick one.
