- 04Call 811 findings if you already have them, or note that locates are still needed
- 05Photos of the site from a few angles, ideally after rain if drainage is the problem
- 06Where spoils can go: hauled off, or spread on site

What kinds of excavation projects can I post?
Grading and leveling, drainage correction, driveway cuts, utility trenching, foundation and addition digs, land clearing, and retaining wall prep. If dirt has to move, it fits.
Are the contractors licensed?
Every contractor bidding has had their license verified against the Oregon CCB or Washington L&I registry before they could see your project.
Do I need my utility lines located first?
Not to post. Call 811 is free and required before digging, and contractors will factor locates into their bids. Mentioning whether locates are done helps them bid accurately.
How many bids will I get?
You set the limit when you post: 3 to 8. Contractors see the full project and bid only if they want the work. Bidding stops at your limit, so your inbox never floods.
